Otter Heating is a Cheshire based company providing expertise in the field of servicing renewable and conventional heating systems.

With over 18 years spent in Domestic and Commercial mechanical services (Plumbing), Daniel Nixon has now chosen to focus his skills and knowledge in to the system maintenance void that is often left once people have installed renewable systems.

We specialise in the annual servicing of heat pumps, air conditioning, under floor heating circuits and Solar thermal panels. These products require specific procedures and checks when compared to traditional heating systems.

Renewable heating systems are focused on Low temperature design, meaning that even a small loss in efficiency translates to a noticeable change to your comfort especially when compared to a gas boiler.

We do of course service traditional heat emitters such as radiator circuits and unvented cylinders, as these are still an element of Low temperature heating systems.

Unlike a boiler which is installed within the dry building, air source heat pumps are installed outside, and are exposed to all the elements. They also conduct their heat from huge quantities of impure air and cannot be fitted with a filter. For these reasons, annual servicing of air source heat pumps and air conditioning units is crucial, if your unit is to continue to operate efficiently and within the narrow design parameters Low temperature systems must effectively provide heat to your home.

Unlike installers who take the Government cash and go, Otter Heating provides its clients with independent, sage advice and records your systems service details, allowing us to become familiar with your heating system whilst being able to identify any reduction in efficiency over the course of the previous year.
